You can update, reposition, and add navigation items in your Media Centre menu to better organise how visitors access your content.
Accessing the menu manager
To edit your navigation menus:
-
Go to Menus via the Media Centre side menu.
-
The menu manager displays all menu links connected to published pages, along with:
-
Their assigned menu (top, footer or footer bottom)
-
Their display position
-
Updating and reordering menu items
To update an existing menu item:
-
Click the Edit icon next to the item.
-
Update the menu name as needed.
-
Use the radio buttons to select where it should appear (e.g. top menu, bottom menu).
-
Adjust the position number to change its order in the menu:
-
1 (one) places the item furthest to the left
-
Higher numbers place it further to the right
-
-
Click Update to save your changes.
Adding and removing menu items
Menu items are directly linked to Pages. Here’s how they work:
-
To add a menu item:
Publish a page in the Pages section. It will automatically appear in the 'unused' menu list. -
To remove a menu item:
Unpublish the page it links to. It will be removed from the menu.
A page must be added to a menu and assigned a position in order to appear on the Media Centre front page. Simply publishing a page will not make it visible in navigation.
Hidden pages
You can publish pages without displaying them in any menu. This is useful for content that should only be accessed via a direct link.
To do this:
-
Create and publish your page.
-
Do not assign it to any menu.
-
Copy the page’s URL and share it directly with intended users.
