Setting up customized sender name and email address for your notifications will not only allow you to send great emails. It will also help your contacts recognize that emails are coming from you.
Setting up email sender:
Step 1: Put is in touch with a technical contact on your end who can help get the email address in place. Usually this is the same person who manages the company domain and email accounts.
Step 2: Provide the email address you are going to use. You need to provide a sender name (e.g. your company name) and an email address from your organization's domain (e.g. press@yourcompany.com).
Example:
from: Clipsource <press@clipsource.com> (Sender name)
reply: press@clipsource.com (Sender email address)
Step 3: We will make sure that the address is setup correctly and works by sending a verification email to your inbox. Open the email to confirm that you have received it.
Step 4: We create and send CNAME records for you to add to your DNS, a system connecting your domain name with email, websites and other web services. Our Amazon server will call your server to ask if it's ok that we send emails in your name. Upon confirmation the setup is verified and complete.
